Kinesiology:
Is a non-invasive, gentle muscle energy technique that will assist in reducing pain in the body. Kinesiology can also help reduce stress, improve performance at school, work, home, in sports and in relationships thus promoting quality of life, health and general wellbeing.
Sclerology:
A health evaluation of the body by taking photographs of the eyes and performing an assessment. Sclerology works in conjunction with Iridology. Where Iridology studies the Iris, or colour of our eyes and their genetic makeup, Sclerology focuses on the Sclera, or the whites of the eyes. Sclerology involves the study of the red lines and other markings and colourings in the Sclera. These colours and markings actually show us real conditions and various disease processes in our body. Examples include imbalances involving the digestive system, heart and vascular system, and thyroid as well as trauma, injury and the presence of parasites.
Remedial Massage:
The Massage Therapist endeavours to identify the original Biomechanical Dysfunction, thus healing the cause of the disorder, as well as the symptoms. Remedial Massage uses several specialised techniques, such as Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Muscle Energy Techniques (stretching) to locate and repair damage to Muscles, Tendons and Joints. Remedial Massage assists in Hyper/Hypo-mobility, Postural Dysfunction, Neck and Head Pain, Migraines/Headaches.
Myofascial Dry Needling:
Is a safe and effective form of treatment for a vast array of musculoskeletal conditions. Myofascial Dry Needling derives from acupuncture and specifically targets trouble spots known as “trigger-points”. With the use of acupuncture needles (though not to be confused with acupuncture), the therapist needles trigger points in the muscles to relieve localised and referred pain.
Foot Joint Mobilisation
: Even though there may not be any pain in the feet there can still be subluxations that will disrupt the neurological information going to the brain and hence the smooth coordination of the rest of the body. The feet are often overlooked, with poor fitting shoes, ankle and foot injuries can limit the ability of the feet to function as they should. Problems such as aching feet, burning feet, bunions, flat feet, claw and hammer toes, sprains, foot, leg, hip, back, neck pain, sciatica, shin splints and headaches, can be helped with this foot joint mobilisation technique.
Foot Detox:
Our bodies store excessive quantities of waste products. The foot detox process eliminates excess toxins in our body. It may assist with liver detoxification, acne, weight control, menstrual and menopause symptoms, pain relief, as well as increasing energy and reducing stress.
Swedish Massage:
Relaxation, gentle and beneficial techniques to improve general wellness and to de–stress. During Swedish massage, the therapist uses massage oils to facilitate smooth, gliding strokes called effleurage. Other classic Swedish massage moves include Kneading, Friction, Stretching and Tapotement.
Lymphatic Drainage:
This is a manual technique which uses a range of gentle rhythmic pumping techniques to move the skin in the direction of the Lymph flow. This stimulates the Lymphatic Vessels that carry substances vital to the bodies defenses, and removes waste products. This is a gentle technique encouraging Lymph flow, reducing certain types of Oedema (swelling), and scar tissue. It helps increase a healthy immune system.
Bush Flower Essence:
Assists with emotional imbalances in the body. Australia has the world’s oldest and highest number of flowering plants exhibiting tremendous beauty and strength. Practitioners world wide are now incorporating the Australian Essences to form an integral part of their therapy. The effect of these Essences is similar to that of meditation.
Reiki Master:
Energy healing. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" over the body. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions and mind creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
Ear Candling:
Historically developed by the Hopi Indians of North Amercia. The Hopi Indians had a great medicinal knowledge. The process of ear candling improves general health and well-being by lighting one end of a hollow candle and placing the other end in the ear canal. May be beneficial in the temporary relief of symptoms such as sinus, headaches, irritations in the ear, allergies, colds and flu, stress, anxiety and industrial pollution.
R.E.S.E.T:
A painless, effective technique. R.E.S.E.T directs healing energy through the muscles, nerves and ligaments in the jaw. The Temporormandibular Joint (TMJ) influences the body as a whole. The TMJ plays an important role in the cranial and spinal dynamics. Benefits are for people with fatigue, jaw problems, migraines, dental work, earache and sleeplessness.
Cupping:
Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy in which a special glass cup is applied to the skin and the pressure creates a vacuum in order to draw and hold skin and superficial muscles inside the cup. From a scientific view, Cupping is known to help activate the Lymphatic System, promote blood circulation, and is good for deep tissue repair.
